Type C pressure demand airline respirators are equipped with either one or two five-minute emergency escape air cylinders. May be used in atmospheres that are Immediately Dangerous to Life and Health (IDLH).

A speaking diaphragm allows clear communication when needed. Hard-coated polycarbonate lens is scratch-resistant, impact-resistant, and provides over 200° of viewing area. The demand valve is first-breath activated. The lens meets the ANSI Z87.1-1989 standard for impact and penetration resistance.
