These polymeric resins composed of polyacrylamide (Ac) and agarose (A) are characterized by narrow particle size distribution and pore size distribution. They provide high resolution at high flow rates in medium and large scale applications. Main applications are fractionation and purification of biological molecules by size exclusion, determination of molecular weights, and desalting. Concentrations of polyacrylamide and agarose are indictated by the resin designation name. For instance, AcA 34 contains 3% polyacrylamide and 4% agarose.
