Assays are compatible with most ionic and nonionic detergents, yet provide greater flexibility, faster results, and easier protocols than classical Lowry protein assays. The colorimetric method used in these kits provides less protein:protein variation than other dye-binding methods and will detect a minimum of 5µg/mL. Assays can be run in either a cuvette/tube format or in a microplate format for automated systems.

The micro assay (PI23235) provides a linear working range with samples containing 0.5-20µg/mL BSA. All other assays provide a linear working range with samples containing 20-20,000µg/mL BSA. The reducing agent compatible kit (PI23250) contains a compatibility reagent and reconstitution buffer that allows the assays to be more tolerant to reducing agents such as dithiothreitol and 2-mercaptoethanol. The Compat-Able* kit (PI23229) includes a clean-up kit that removes any non-protein substances in the sample.
