Plates are ideal for binding small hydrophilic molecules that typically exhibit poor binding directly to polystyrene. Both coatings provide gentle immobilization of biotin-containing conjugates. NeutrAvidin* binding protein also features the lowest nonspecific binding properties of all biotin-binding proteins because it has no carbohydrate. In addition, it has an isoelectric point of 6.3, so the protein component will not denature when it binds to the plate. The high binding capacity (HBC) coated plates feature improved signal-to-noise ratios and a broader dynamic range, eliminating the need to dilute samples.
