Isolation units protect animals and personnel from cross-contamination during both acute and chronic holding of animals, and allow for multiple species to be housed in the same room. Units are autoclavable for complete sterilization and come in one-, two-, and four-cubicle configurations. They are quiet, warm, and soft to the touch of the animal. Each individual cubicle features a blower, an on/off switch (120V, 60Hz), a standard glass media filtration system with 5µm efficiency, and a polycarbonate door with slip-apart stainless steel hinges. Units are mobile, with non-scuff casters equipped with locks, brakes, and zerk fittings.

Portable isolation units transport animal patients in a self-sufficient environment to and from research facilities, surgical suites, and recovery areas. Portable units have the same features as standard isolation units, with the additional advantage of a rechargeable battery pack that maintains proper ventilation for 130 minutes of continuous use before recharging.
