Spray on Graphite Paint coating cures overnight to a hard, dry, long lasting protective barrier and eliminates the need for grease on SuperGlide hitch "way tubes". Stays on longer than grease, and keeps things clean and free of dust. Lubricate rails on SuperGlide product - the Super Glide hitches slide on the way tubes while functioning - failure to provide adequate lubrication will void the product warranty. WD-40 or silicone spray is not sufficient. However, be aware that if the hitch already has a medium based grease type of lubricant applied, then using Slip Plate requires that the grease lubricant be removed first prior to applying Slip Plate.
