Static-dissipative polyethylene bottles, molded by a tertiary amine-free process, have no chemical reactivity with TCE or alcohol. They are ESD-safe, dissipating a charge of ±5000V in less than 2 seconds at 40% relative humidity (regular plastic bottles can generate a 10,000V charge that will cause damage in static-sensitive areas). Bottles offer an average surface resistivity of 109 to 1010 ohms. Tests showed that after a seven-day period, the pH of deionized water solutions in these bottles remained stable. The solutions also did not exhibit color or other physical changes.
