A thermistor is located directly at the prism to provide the most accurate temperature readings possible. Ports for a temperature-controlled water circulator are available for even more precise measurements.

System is ready to measure refractive index and Brix (temperature-compensated or non-temperature compensated), and has 14 additional channels for programming custom scales. Dual RS-232 serial ports can be used to send data to a computer, printer, or to program virtually any user scales into the unit.
