This compact, semi-enclosed, benchtop, carousel tissue processor is designed to process biological specimens from chemical fixation to paraffin infiltration. The unique design uses programmable gentle centrifugal force to augment the normal vertical agitation process associated with carousel processors. Reagent carryover is reduced through the centrifugal spinning of the cassette basket above the reagent vessel.

The charcoal enhanced fume ventilation system and the reagent vessel tops help control processing vapors. The microprocessor unit can maintain up to 10 different processing programs. Processing modes include immediate and delayed start, and the immersion time in each station can be set from one minute to 99 hours and 59 minutes. Cassette baskets spin clockwise and counterclockwise within the reagent container to improve processing. Each cassette basket can hold up to 120 cassettes. The processor features a battery backup system in case of power failure.
