This extensive selection of high-quality synthetic peptides can be used in a broad range of proteomic and life science applications. Peptides are all derived from in vitro synthesis. They are meant for research use only and should not be used for diagnostic purposes. All peptides come in 1mg vials unless otherwise specified. For custom synthetic peptides, contact your VWR representative. This mixture contains seven purified proteins that range in size from 14 to 120kDa. It has been formulated to yield well-defined bands after SDS-PAGE electrophoresis and staining with Coomassie blue or other common staining techniques. The bovine albumin band (67kDa) has been increased to serve as a reference. It is supplied in 1X loading buffer, so that it is ready to use.
The buffer composition is 62.5mM TRIS-HCl at pH 6.8, 2% (w/v) SDS, 250mM sodium chloride, 1mM EDTA, 4% (v/v) beta-mercaptoethanol, 35% (v/v) glycerol, and 0.05% (w/v) bromophenol blue with 0.01% (w/v) sodium azide as a preservative. Store marker mixture at -20°C (-4°F).
