These assays are non-radioactive methods for detecting specific transcription factor DNA binding activity in nuclear extracts and whole cell lysates. A specific dsDNA sequence containing the NFkappaB response element is immobilized on the bottom of the wells in a 96-well plate. The transcription factor is detected by the addition of a specific primary antibody. A colorimetric readout at 450nm is obtained through a horseradish peroxidase-conjugated secondary antibody.
