Ideal for analytical testing of gases or vapors and general laboratory applications. Well suited for use in making manometers. Low vapor pressure (low outgassing) makes it suitable for vacuum applications down to 10^-3 mm Hg at 21°C (70°F).

Laboratory Tygon R-3603 tubing has extra-heavy walls to withstand full vacuum of 759mm (29.9") of mercury at 23°C (78°F) and up to 686mm (27") of mercury at 60°C (140°F). Recommended operating temperature: -50 to 74°C (-58 to 165°F). Durometer hardness: Shore A, 55. Tensile strength: 1650psi. Does not age or crack like rubber tubing.

Handles all inorganic chemicals. Clarity allows monitoring for possible backups which could result in equipment damage. Will not swell closed if vacuum pump oil should back up into tubing.
