The Element series balances offer a unique array of advanced features and basic conveniences in an economical, portable, and durable line of balances. Application programs include counting, totaling, percent weighing, locking in readouts, and below balance density determination thanks to a conveniently placed hanger. There are 14 selectable weight units, plus one that is freely selectable.

Other key features include rugged housings and stainless steel weighing pans. The milligram model (82028-302) is equipped with a 107mm (4⁷/₃₂") round weighing pan. All other models feature a 140x127mm (5¹/₂x5") rectangular weighing pan. All models feature simple, one-touch calibration, and up to two 100g calibration weights can be inserted into the rear compartment (up to 0.01g readability). In addition, three selectable weight values can be used for calibration. Overload protection is designed to provide protection from overuse. Optional RS-232 adapter or USB adapter connects units to a printer, PC, or remote display. With the exception of model 82028-302, all balances feature battery-powered operation that permits use in the lab or in the field. An anti-theft locking device is built into the housing.
