These disposable plastic cassettes hold tissue or biopsy specimens during processing and embedding as well as in storage. Made of a high-density acetal polymer, the cassettes keep specimens safely submerged in liquid and are totally resistant to the chemical action of histological solvents. The efficient flow-through slots maximize fluid exchange and ensure proper drainage. Large labeling areas are located on three sides of the cassettes. The anterior writing area is slanted at a 45° angle to make the cassette more compatible with cassette labeling instruments.

The tissue cassettes have a one-piece integral lid which eliminates the need for separate steel lids. Lids can be opened and closed as often as necessary and always relock securely without danger of specimen loss. Biopsy cassettes feature 1mm square openings.
