Versatile, top-of-the-line columns intended for high-quality classical column chromatography separations with gravity flow to moderate pressure. They are available in a wide range of diameters and standard lengths that may be joined together.
Columns are constructed of glass. The aqueous series has polypropylene collars and end plates. The organic series has fluoropolymer resin end plates for complete chemical resistance to solvents. Both can be autoclaved.
Column is constructed with non-clogging bed supports. These supports consist of a thin (10µm) membrane suspended over a woven grid and permit passage of a band from the packing into the small bore outlet with a minimum loss of resolution.
Columns of diameter less than 7.5cm are fitted with a multi-fit connector capable of adapting to 1/16", 1/8", or 3/16" O.D. tubing. Larger columns are fitted with a 1/4" connector to accommodate the higher flow rates associated with preparative applications. These tubing connectors can be removed and replaced with a variety of fittings and valves.
