The specialized, autoclavable filter utilizes a 0.2µm DynaFibre* membrane that permits the flow of culture medium while preventing the introduction of foreign microbials. By using two CultureGard filters in series, users can virtually eliminate the risk of culture contamination during media feeding and culture perfusion. Should the first filter become plugged, simply remove it and reattach the media supply directly to the second filter already in place, maintaining the sterile barrier to the culture.
