Designed for gentle cross-flow filtration of small volumes ranging from 2 to 50mL. These disposable hollow fiber modules are efficient and practical tangential flow filtration devices that offer 5-30 minute separations, 90-99% product purity, and 85-95% product recovery.

MicroKros modules are typically operated by a peristaltic pump, but these devices also offer the unique advantage of manual operation for the quick and convenient separation of small volumes. Manual operation utilizes two retentate syringes connected to the Luer inlet/outlet ports to pass the sample back and forth through the membrane lumen. As the retentate volume diminishes, a third syringe collects the filtrate by way of one of the side ports. A fourth syringe can be used to either supply more sample for concentration, or buffer for diafiltration via the Luer T-connector.
