Ideal for organic distillations, heat treatment tests, and high temperature reaction experiments. Maintain temperatures up to 600°C. Objects can be safely immersed in the medium which looks and feels like bubbling liquid and provides excellent heat transfer and temperature uniformity. Designed as an alternative to oil baths, acid baths, and air furnaces. Eliminates the oils/acids disposal problem.

Unit consists of a stainless steel inner container with a full diameter porous plate at bottom. Inconel-sheathed immersion heaters are located horizontally just above porous plate. Aluminum oxide particles are fluidized by low pressure air, heated and maintained at appropriate constant temperature, and circulated. No fumes or evaporation problems. Medium is dry and can be brushed off easily. Regulator has graduations from 0-10 for temperature control. Stability is ±1°. Pressure switch has auto turn-off to protect against burnout. Requires clean, dry air supply at 3 psi, 2 cfm.

The optional controller unit improves temperature setting and stability. The type K thermocouple fits in a sheath included with all baths. Three-term PID control.
