Temperature recorders use pressure-sensitive chart paper (sold separately) and do not require inking. The remote alarm module provides an audible and visual signal in the event of a temperature rise or power failure. May be located up to 536m (1760') from the cabinet. The deluxe electronic remote alarm can be programmed to sound an alarm in the event of a temperature increase or power failure. It is able to dial up to four telephone numbers and can monitor up to four individual freezers or up to three groups of freezers.

Backup systems inject liquid CO₂ or LN₂ when cabinet temperature warms to a preset level. Built-in backup systems are available on Ultima* II and Elite* models only; Value series models require a freestanding backup system. All Ultima II, Elite, and Value series 88L (3.1cu.ft.) -86°C models require a freestanding backup system as well. Liquid flow shuts off automatically when the freezer door is opened.

A built-in surge suppressor is standard on Ultima II series models. A freestanding surge suppressor is available for Elite and Value series models. Revco ultra-low temperature freezers include one 2.5cm (1") diameter pass-thru port. Additional ports are available to provide openings for probes, cables, or leads.
