Reagent recovery system protects tissues from overfill or underfill conditions in the retort: in the event of a failure, the system suspends the processing sequence, fills the retort from the previous station, and continues to process while bypassing the affected station.

The distinctive LCD touch-screen displays the entire processing schedule, time, date, day, and program name while monitoring the status of all other processing parameters. Use the quick, one-touch selection keys, or select up to four setting options of vacuum, pressure, and “bubbling” circulation to enhance tissue quality. The onboard computer features 12 user-defined programs with battery back-up protection. Reagent management system automatically selects the cleanest reagents based on past processing cycles, without requiring manual shifting of bottles. System indicates exactly when reagents, paraffin, cleaning fluid, and charcoal filters require changing, which ensures consistent quality and eliminates early disposal of consumables. Automatic paraffin cleaning prolongs paraffin life and reduces reagent costs. Processors utilize four, 2.5L (84.5oz.) paraffin bottles with a fifth in reserve that may be used as a quick change when rotating paraffin. Both paraffin and charcoal bottles are enclosed in sealed containers to prevent spillage and the release of xylene fumes.
