Combines a flotation bath, tissue orientator, and slide dryer in one compact unit. Makes tissue preparation easier, safer, and more efficient.

The tissue flotation bath features a removable 20.3x20.3x5.1cm (8x8x2") glass dish for easy cleaning and a high contrast background for optimum specimen viewing. Microprocessor controller maintains bath temperatures from ambient to 60°C (140°F) within ±1°C. Membrane keypad permits easy setting of clock and temperature.

The 115V Histo-Orientator* hot plate smoothes wrinkles and bubbles in paraffin sections. Also useful with cryostat to ensure attachment of frozen sections to the slide, preventing loosening of the tissue during agitation in hand staining. The plate heats to 65°C (149°F).

The 115V convection slide dryer rapidly dries slides by blowing warm air over the surface of the slides. Slide racks taken directly from a stainer dry in 20 to 30 minutes. Temperature control dial allows drying temperatures from ambient to 75°C (167°F). Dryer features a hinged stainless steel lid and a LEXAN* glass front for specimen viewing. A self-resetting thermal switch prevents overheating. Dryer accommodates two conventional slide-staining racks.
