Placed between the sample injection valve and the HPLC column, the precolumn filter protects the column from particles originating on the mobile phase, in pump seal wear, in sample injection valve wear or in the sample. Filters have 0.020" diameter thru-holes and 8° distribution cones for minimum band spreading and mixing.
