The ChemiDoc-It systems are designed for highly sensitive, dedicated chemiluminescence imaging. The systems include a camera, darkroom, and analysis software.
The high resolution cameras have a 17mm fixed lens with an F/0.95 f-stop that supplies optimal signal sensitivity, and a PCI USB 2.0 board. Both cameras have regulated cooling down to -28°C (-18.4°F). The Chemi camera has 2.0 megapixels, 14 bit depth, 1600x1200 resolution, 50% peak quantum efficiency, and a 1.7cm (2/3") progressive scan (anti-blooming) monochrome CCD. The BioChemi camera has 4.0 megapixels, 16 bit depth, 2048x2048 resolution, 50% peak quantum efficiency, and a 2.5cm (1") progressive scan (anti-blooming) monochrome CCD. The camera fits securely into the topside chamber of the darkroom.
The compact, light-tight darkroom provides ideal conditions for chemiluminescent applications. The interior chamber of the darkroom features a height-adjustable, non-reflective sample platform which can accomodate blot sizes up to 21x26cm (81/4x101/4"), and is equipped with a counter to identify exact height for reference in repeat experiments. The darkroom has a wide access door and an overhead white light to create highly uniform image focusing. Darkroom dimensions: 77.5Hx35.6Wx34.3Dcm (301/2x14x131/2").
The VisionWorks* LS image acquisition and analysis software provides tools for image capture and analysis of chemiluminescent samples, including Western blots. Specific capabilities include image enhancement, one-touch automated macros, extensive report generation, data export, advanced analysis including area density, and support for 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
