The PhotoDoc-It systems are designed for fluorescence imaging. They enable researchers to view and capture fluorescent gels. The stand-alone systems include a transilluminator, filter, camera, and darkroom; no computer is required.

The single intensity LM-26 UV benchtop transilluminator operates on 115V, 8W, and offers 302 and 365nm wavelengths. It is supplied with a built-in 21x26cm (8¹/₄x10¹/₄") ethidium bromide emission filter. Overall dimensions: 43.2x33.7x24.1cm (17x13¹/₄x9¹/₂").

The high resolution digital color camera has 8.0 megapixels, and is secured into the topside chamber of the darkroom by a combination lock. The lightweight, compact metal darkroom enclosure mounts onto the transilluminator. Camera is supplied with a 16MB memory card.

Images from the camera can be saved to a memory card or printed onto laboratory quality photo color printer. The printer features 300x300 resolution and USB connectivity, and includes a packet of blank photo paper for 108 4x6" prints. Printer dimensions: 17.8x12.7x6.4cm (7x5x2¹/₂).

The optional Doc-It* LS analysis software loads to a separate computer for analysis of gels. Its features include automatic lane and band detection, quantitative analysis of lanes and bands, multiple MW calibration, background correction image enhancement, and reporting capabilities.
