VWR free standing refrigerators are cooled with forced air directional refrigeration supplying temperature uniformity and temperature recovery after the refrigerator has been opened. These refrigerators use Environmentally friendly natural hydrocarbon refrigerants which reduce global warming potential (no CFCs). These refrigerants meet the new EPA/SNAP mandates and UL, ASHRAE guidelines. An automatic cycle-defrost design prevents product damaging temperature spikes. Cycle defrost happens during the routine cycling of the compressor and the temperature fluctuation is no more than normal. The digital microprocessor precisely controls the temperature making these freezers perfect for critical samples and reagents.

All Freestanding models require 4 inches of clearance around the back and sides of the unit for proper ventilation. Improper installation will void the warranty and will lead to temperature maintenance issues, overheating and possible failure.
