These premium cassettes feature a fluidic flow design for the optimization of tissue processing and embedding. Unique design has vented side walls to maximize fluid exchange. The vented sides and rear wall design work exceptionally well with fatty, dense, and other difficult to process tissue samples. The chamber is 10% longer, allowing for an increased specimen range. Standard 45° angled print surface is compatible with all automatic printing devices. Attached cover has a large labeling area and uses a frangible hinge. Positive release latch and safe lock base allow for ease of opening and closing. Molded of reagent-resistant acetyl polymer resin for chemical resistance to histological solvents.
Thin cassettes have a similar construction but are 50% thinner than standard cassettes. This innovative design maximizes processing efficiency by doubling the number of cassettes that can be processed at once and by halving the storage area required for paraffin blocks. The 33° angled writing surface is not compatible with automatic printing devices.
Stackable cassettes are ideally suited for processing, embedding, and tissue management of multi-specimen cases. The unique stackable format requires only a single cassette cover to be used for an entire stack. When stacking, cassettes snap together for a positive lock.
