Designed to allow for the development and growth of cell culture from research to production quantities without having to change equipment and revalidate. Accommodates glass or plastic bottles 112 to 121mm in diameter and up to 550mm long. Standard features include an all-position drive system; large digital display and keypad for easy input and monitoring of the settings; programmable soft start and stop with fixed or reversible rotation direction; ten memory locations for setting storage; and built-in monitoring with visual and audible alarms.

Each deck holds five bottles. The roller apparatus offers the ability to start with as few as one deck (5 positions for bottles) and add up to 10 decks for a total of 55 bottle positions.

The Modular R₂P systems feature a larger spacing between the decks than the standard R₂P systems for inserting and removing roller bottles more easily without disturbing cells adhering to bottle walls.
