Wheaton 33 glass protects pH balance and product integrity; amber glass provides protection for light-sensitive materials. Vials and caps are autoclavable. Aqueous sample vials have black phenolic solid-top caps with white 14B rubber liners. Organic sample vials have black phenolic fluoropolymer resin-faced liners with 14B rubber (solid-top caps) or silicone (open-top caps).

Clear vials meet ASTM Type 1 Class A and USP Type 1 standards. Amber vials meet ASTM Type 2 Class B and USP Type 1 standards.
