The inner aluminum can is seamless and leakproof. A matching aluminum cap with PVC flow-in liner provides a secure seal and will not crack after autoclaving.

The outer mailing tube with screw cap has a white paper covering which allows better recognition of biohazard warning labels. Available as a double mailer (inner can plus outer mailing tube) or as mailing tube only.

Optional blue polyurethane foam inserts with pre-drilled holes accommodate the most commonly used blood collecting tubes. Unit consists of foam insert and foam cover plus a cellulose disc to absorb spills should breakage occur. Three-hole insert measures 4.8dia.x14Hcm (17/8x51/2") and fits double mailer 16145-334. Six-hole insert measures 7dia.x14.6Hcm (23/4x53/4") high and fit double mailer 16465-316.
