Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor-C
Lyophilized solid. A 129-amino acid recombinant protein lacking the N- and C-terminal extensions and containing only the middle third VEGF homology domain. Forms primarily non-covalent linked dimers that can phosphorylate VEGF-R3 (Flt-4). VEGF-C has been shown to be involved in the regulation of growth and differentiation of lymphatic endothelium. Biological activity: ED50³200 ng/ml as measured by the stimulation of VEGFR-3 phosphorylation in porcine endothelial cells.Purity: ³90% by SDS-PAGE.
