This laboratory mortar grinder is ideal for grinding dry samples and solid materials in suspension, and for manufacturing and homogenizing pastes and creams to laboratory standards. The mortar is rotated by a gear motor that drives the mounted, free-rotating pestle by means of friction. Specific pestle settings are provided for pre-crushing the samples and can be set via the splash-proof membrane keyboard to ensure a reproducible grinding process. A standard integrated scraper turns the sample and guides it back to the pestle.

The mortar bowl and lid have a dust-tight seal to prevent loss of material during grinding. Lid features an acrylic glass window for pouring liquids into sample during grinding process.
