Product Category Description:

Seals nonmovable, nonvibrating joints (such as vacuum systems), especially those that heat during operation. This general purpose wax, with a vapor pressure of 4.5x10-9 Torr at 20°C, softens between 80-90°C (176-194°F). Apply at 130°C (266°F). Apiezon Wax W is used extensively as an etch resist and mounting media in the electronics industry. The wax resists etching fluids such as KOH, hydrofluoric, nitric, or acetic acid, yet is easily removed by hydrocarbon or chlorinated solvents.
