These microscopic polystyrene hexagons are ideal for large-scale productions. Microcarriers are virtually 2D with a side length of 125µm and only 25µm thick. They are also non-swelling, non-porous, and non-absorbing, so no reagents can be trapped in the carriers, as can occur with gel particles.
