For determining the percentage by weight of sucrose. Range is in Brix. The mercury thermometer is in the body. A correction scale for conversion of readings to 20°C (68°F) is printed in red, opposite the temperature scale. Approximate length: 370mm (141/2"). Thermometer scale: 0 to 50°C with 1°C subdivisions. Hydrometer and thermometer accuracy: ±1 scale division.

A certificate is provided to indicate instrument traceability to standards provided by the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
