Product Category Description:

Designed to homogenize cells and plant tissue or to re-suspend protein and DNA pellets. Pestles and microtubes are manufactured from polybutylene terephthalate (PBTP) in an ISO Class 7 (FED-STD-209E Class 10,000/M5.5) cleanroom. They are DNase-, RNase-, and pyrogen-free. The pestle features a grooved grip handle tailored to fit the microtube. The grooved grip makes the handle easy to turn without slipping, even when wearing gloves. Pestle length: 7.5cm (3").

Optional battery-powered motor can be used with pestles and microtubes. Motor is lightweight and greatly reduces hand fatigue. Its high-speed vortexing action completely homogenizes cell tissue and pellets within seconds.
